I have completed a screenplay of Daniel Defoe's 18th century novel, "Roxana, the Fortunate Mistress." The main character, Roxana, was an abandoned mother of five children who learned about the interconnections among sex, money, and power. My version stresses the intimate relationship between Roxana and her maid Amy. I hope to see this on the screen one day. Any ideas?
IN PROGRESS: I've started on a novel called "The Confessions of Anna Howe." It retells the story of "Clarissa" (see WORKS on this web site) from the point of view of a minor character, recasting it as a lesbian love story. |
